I AM the CPAP queen...

So, I know I have been terrifically long in posting...but a lot has happened in my life. I moved, I am getting divorced, I quit EMS and then got back in...it certainly is difficult to be psychologically FUBAR and trying to get ones shit together. I'm slow, blonde and generally not too quick on the uptake, so it took me a while.

I have relocated, yet again, but this time, there will be NO returning to Durham County EMS. While I miss the call volume and my partner of two and a half years, I have moved to the beach to settle. I am living in a small town on the southern most tip of North Carolina, in a dream house on stilts on the Shallotte River. I can see salt water from all of my windows. The husband is nowhere in sight and it is mighty relaxing here.

I am now employed with Brunswick County EMS and am not sure whether or not I am enjoying a dwindle in call volume from 50 thousand a year to 15 thousand a year. I rather enjoy being busy and getting into trouble, which is not so easy here. It simply isnt as dangerous here...Brunswick county is a heavens waiting room of sorts for old-folks who never quite made it to Florida.

I am STILL the queen of blue-tags and bullshit, though I do have one redeeming quality: I AM the CPAP queen. I have used CPAP about 4 dozen times since coming to BCEMS, which has only been about 6 months. Ironically, my start date here was 11 SEP 07. (Just an interesting sidebar). I LOVE LOVE LOVE CPAP. And it shows! In fact, I used it last night and since my back hurts and I havent been to sleep yet, I bet I'll use it tonight too!

Perhaps I should dump the coffee and take a nap and remind myself before falling asleep that I need to get my head out of my butt and keep up with "the blog that no one reads"!
